They say that working in an office, as opposed to being freelance, is more expensive because you buy lunches and coffees and travelcards. But you also end up staring at other people's clothes and accessories all day and that my friends, is a dangerous proposition....
Take today for example.
My lovely friend Jo (we're pretty much all called Jo in London) was wearing the above, beautiful, necklace today with a navy crew neck knit, print shorts and patent flats. As you've gathered, she is amazingly chic, and I just loved the way the chain stole the show even though her entire outfit was mega.
The piece is from J Crew - and the problem? I have consequently been made aware of the array of wicked necklaces by the brand (just when I was coming to terms with the fact that Tatty Devine's latest collection is 60s/Beatles-inspired).
The moral of this story is:
Thou shalt not covet thy colleague's bling (or you will be skinted for the rest o' the month).
